Finally I am looking to upgrade from the factory Yamaha prop. I have a 2120 powered by a Yamah F200. Any help and direction as to what I should upgrade to would be great.

just for the record just because it says its a yamaha prop doesnt make it bad. what prop do you have size and pitch and what are you trying to accomplish?

Not saying its bad. I would like to improve top end performance mostly. I also have a vibration around 3800-4000 rpm.

I called Yamaha ( 866-894-1626) and told them what I wanted out of my 2120 with a 150 on it and they told me about a new line of Yamaha props - one of which is now my perfect prop for my performance needs. I have always found them to be clear and informed on everything about my 150..............Pete

I have a Yamaha Reliance Prop (14 1/2 X 15) 3 blade

68F-45970-00-00

Gives me 6,000 RPM at WOT which is exactly where I want to be and it digs out of the hole in a hurry. Usually hitting 38 MPH on average WOT with varying passenger and fuel loads..........................Pete

Pete: Thanks for the info. I will give them a call.

I get about 38MPH WOT but I am at 5800RPM with 50 gallons of fuel, 4 passengers and normal equipment on board.

Maybe I should be happy with what I have and save some money :)

Great info Pete!
Thanks for adding to the CP knowledge-base.

well with the 200 you should be spinning something a little bigger than the reliance series. You can stick with something in a smaller diameter or go with a little more pitch. But we still dont know what you have.
