i have a 2001 21SE with a blown hpdi150, a friend of mine is basically giving me his 2001 ox66 200hp if it could work. Does anyone know if the 21SE can take a 200? WOuld the controls be the same? many thanks in advance, i have had this boat for about 4 years and the hpdi 150 was nothing but trouble!

200 on a 21se is fine. I believe that is the max rating on the CG plaque. Controls, shift/throttle cables, and main harness would be the same. Not 100% on the oil harness, but it will be easy to tell by looking at the connectors.

Should be a straightforward swap. Good luck :D

I just purchased a 2006 21se with a 2007 Yamaha 200 four stroke. 200 is the max rating for the boat.

thanks for the replies, she's been dry docked for two years, can't wait to get her back up and running.
also wondering-gas has been sitting in tank for the two years, should i drain? many thaks again!

I have a Parker 21se 1990. First three engines were 150 2 cy. 15" pitch prop. Last three were 200 hpdi. 17" pitch prop. The 200 is the motor for this boat. Did not go 4 cy because of the increased weight. I am considering going to a Suzuki 175 4 cy, but still researching that move.

Was the gas ever treated with Sta-Bil before she was put up?
Do you know how much fuel is in the tank?

If you can't answer either question, drain it and use the old gas in your car or truck about 5 gallons at a time.
