I just finished up installing some suspension seat posts for the bench on my 2320. I haven't tested it yet but hopefully it will quiet the complaints from my passengers as we run offshore. I know I love the Seaspension drivers seat.
The first step was to pull out the existing bench set up.
I then threw down some paper and sketched out the layout an made some 1/8" test holes to verify that noting would be in my way. I got a stringer drawing from Parker and laid out my stringer locations.
Once it seemed ok I bit the bullet and busted out the hole saw.
The hardest part was digging out enough foam to put these backing rings under the floor.
Once I had removed enough foam I drilled all the holes, bolted the rings to the floor and drilled and tapped them to hold them in place with some 8/32 screws.
I used a 1/2" sheet of sanded plywood to install some threaded inserts in and screwed it to the underside of the seat.
I finally bolted it all up.
Hopefully this works out well. I will have to devise something for underneath the bench to keep all my items in place. I know someone else on this board installed this set up in their boat. They had just finished it up as I was in contact with the manufacturer of the bases.
