I need to replace the fuel tank in my 1994 2330. I am considering a plastic tank. Has anyone had any experience with a plastic tank? Thanks in advance

Yes...Plastic tanks install differently than a alum tank.
Your not the first to think that. You figure a plastic tank will never rot.

But there are problems.

Finding a plastic tank to replace the size of the alum is #1. Then people say....Well I just put this smaller tank in that will fit the space...Never do that. Less fuel capacity = less range and less value.

Plastic tanks can warp. I replaced a plastic tank with a alum on a Hewes. The plastic tank was warped at the sender flange and would not seal. Also when I tore into the boat I found a loop in the vent hose, :(

Take a look at pursuit boats. I have a plastic tank on mine and it’s been great. It must be supported differently and does have vent requirements and dimensional stability issues but they do work when set up well.
