23SE 200hpdi prop help

Hello all. I just picked up a new to me 2004 23SE with 04/03 built 200hpdi. The prop is marked with a 17M. Not sure if this is the 13.75 or 15.25 in prop. Boat tops out at 36mph at 4900 rpm. This was on the sea trial with 5 people aboard - figure about 900 lbs. Not sure on fuel but no other gear. This seams low given the performance bulletin has this boat more around 5600 at 44mph with a 13.75 x 17 S/S prop. Motor is mounted in second hole from the top. Seems to have been this way since new because the yamaha printout only has 3.6 hours above 5000. at 4000 she was doing 28mph which seems close to the performance bulletin number of 29.6. Any thoughts? Motor runs great.

For engine hight and prop selection check out these links. My 06 Yamaha has what they call a black steel 15 x 17 prop. Marking I think shows 17T? Hopefully some guys with your hull and engine will chime in with their set up. Good luck!
