I'm looking at a new 2400CC. Does anyone on Classic Parker own one that could give me a review of the ride, etc. They claim it as a deep vee which always meant 21° deadrise. The new 2400 has a 17° deadrise. I run primarily in the ocean off delaware and maryland.

It’s a new model, and there’s not a lot of people out there that have one.

That said, if you’re looking at using it as an offshore boat, I think you might be disappointed with it. It certainly does not replace the absolute battle wagon that was the 2300 DVCC before Parker got bought out and their product turned to garbage.

If you have the opportunity, go for a sea trial with a dealer down in the OBX who may be willing to find some slop for you to try it out in. While I now consider Parkers to be a generic, mass produced boat, they’re still probably one of the BETTER generic, mass produced boats. If the boat you test passes the checks you want it to pass, it’ll probably be a better than average boat for you and your family.

I'm coming from a Parker 2800CC which was a beast of a boat and before that a 2300CC. I'm getting older and my fishing will be with 20-25 miles of the inlet.

I saw the 22 and 24 finished boats at the factory before they were announced. More like bay boats with two piece construction. The interior has more features and seating. The console has more room inside for a potty and a glass windshield. The fishing features were an afterthought - four rod holders on the rear edge of the t-top, for example.

The design of liner and stringer system was completely changed so that they can be made as large fiberglass parts that are faster to build and more uniform.

I predict the ride will be better than the SE hulls but not equal to the old 21 degree DV hulls.

They are boats built for a different market than past center console Parkers.

The 4 degree difference in deadrise will make a huge negative difference. Check out Pair Customs...what the old Parkers used to be.
That's for the tip on Pair Customs. I actually went to look at one today and you are spot on about them being like the old parker. Now if we can reach a agreeable price

Built on the old Sea Ox hull molds. 👍

Unlike Parker, Pair figured out a way to make a two-piece boat that DOESN’T suck. Their fit and finish is significantly better as well. Plus, the 21DV has a full transom and a bracket.

If I were in the market for a new CC, they’d be very near the top of my list.

I thought Pair was using 3 piece construction...no?

If I recall correctly, it’s a two piece with an extremely tight liner. Very little space between the two pieces.

I could be remembering incorrectly though, but I recall being surprised when they told me that. It certainly doesn’t have the typical “look” of a two piece boat.

You are exactly right. It's like a 3 piece whose deck makes the turn and goes under the gunwales. For instance, you can't see the bracket bolts from the inside.

Their website states it is 3 piece construction. But apparently it is not....

It’s 3 piece. Floor has finished hull inner lining attached. A lot of builders do it.
1. Hull
2. Floor hull liner combo
3. Gunnel cap
