I am considering a new Parker 2520 DV and was wondering what the general consensus is on twin power?

Boat will be used 50% island time with the family and 50% fishing/diving with the guys. Fishing/Diving load is usually 4 guys, 8 scuba tanks and all the associated gear, rods, ice etc.

The 10k difference in price is significant or else the 200s would be a no brainer. Will it feel under-powered with the 150s? My last 25ft Center Console had 150s and I had no complaints...

I currently have a 2510 XLD with twin 150's and couldn't be happier. I have plenty of power and tops out at 43 mph...fast enough for me with no evidence of lugging or strain.

No one has ever said I wish I had Less power.

Your fixin to load that boat down. You know how much all that dive gear weighs......Get the 200's

Yes it will cost more, but resale will be higher and faster.

Thanks I agree 200s would be best --- anyone on this board in the Tampa Bay area? looking to get a little time on the water in one (will compensate for time)
