I joined a little while ago and someone asked that I provide the performance info for my 2520XL with a 300 Yamaha. We were running on a calm morning with no wind or current. We had 3 guys on board with ice and gear. Probably about 1000# and 70-80 gallons of fuel. Here is the info. I am trying to attach pictures of the gauges but the files are too large so I am going to work on figuring that out but here is the info. My top speed with only me on the boat and a near empty gas tank was 45.1MPH.

3700RPM - 24MPH - 2.4MPG
4000RPM - 28MPH - 2.4MPG
4200RPM - 31MPH - 2.3MPG
4600RPM - 35MPH - 2.1MPG
5000RPM - 38MPH - 1.9MPG
5500RPM - 42MPH - 1.6MPG

Here are the pictures. I think this will work....

How did it plane with that much weight? If you ever run more people please post up on how it rode.

IMHO Parkers run better with more weight in the stern!

Check my reports, one day I had 2 aboard and 9 the next day, and the speed was only down 1-2MPH max at the same RPMs. That's the advantage of the HUGE diameter prop on the Suukis. In fact, my performance numbers are as good and better, Mod-V hull with a 250hp Suzi, than the XL 16-degree hull with 300hp Yummie as posted. Saved $12K off the purchase price (vs. the 300 Yam) to boot ;) !

I have been out with up to 6 people on the boat. All of us were big guys ranging from 250-300#. Had 120 gal of fuel on the boat and it performed about the same. 2-3MPH slower at each cruise speed. The boat didnt want to stay on plane under 4000RPMs though without the trim tabs way down and that obviously killed the speed.

According to one of the Yamaha reps in Florida you should try a different prop to achieve the maximum 6000 rpm limit.
