what would be the max capacity - no windlass - assuming 8-plait rhode with 24ft 1/4 chain?

Not sure of the maximum but I have 600' and 30' of chain in mine. Only problem is you have to do a sweep nd pull bck the rode if you are fishing deep water otherwise you will get hockles or a jam as it builds up under the hause hole
