I have done a few upgrades to my 2002 2530 Parker over the last couple month and thought I would share them on here. The biggest was the re-power I went from the factory 2 stroke 150 HDPIs to 200 HP Suzuki’s. I have had the new motors on the boat for three months now, they have about 150 hrs. on them. I told my self I was going to continue using my kicker for trolling, but the Suzuki troll mode spoiled me hence the number of hours in 3 months. My cruising speed is 33 mph at 4560 rpms, burning 15.3 gallons an hour, 2.16 miles per gallon. A couple of smaller things I have added are tackle storage where the refrigerator once was and a Espacher diesel heater. The heater is great it keeps the cabin of the boat 65 degrees during our winter black mouth fishery up here in Washington. The next project will be new helm seats I am wanting to put in suspension seat but not sure what direction to go yet.
