2530 Specs???

Just wondering what the actual weight and size gas tank the 2530 has. According to the catalog that i have the 2520 DV is heavier than the 2530. Is that possible? Also, it has a 173 Gallon tank according to the catalog as opposed to 200. Anyone have any ideas?

looking at the webpage, and seeing that the 2520 XLD weighs more than the 2530 while the 2520 XL weighs less, its possible that the new 2530 hull is an XL hull rather than a deep vee. however, the 2520 XL is listed as having a deadrise of 16 degrees, while the 2530 has 21, so im not certain. youre right, the 2530 should definately weigh more. in terms of the gas tank, you are correct, the 2530s have 173 gallon tanks. since the pilothouse extends further back, there is less room for a gas tank on the 2530.

I have a 1996 and got the factory drawings for my tanks. They are 74 gal each for a total of 148.

thats interesting. i have a 95 and we carry 173 gallons in a single tank. amazing how they change over a single model year.
