I've used electric chainsaw to remove the foam around the tank.
All foam is out, there is nowhere for anything to drain out of this area.. I had 12 gallons of fuel stuck under foam. Was a total pain in ass to clean out. What a stupid system. Any condensation or humidity over time will rot tank no matter how dry foam is.I've used electric chainsaw to remove the foam around the tank.
Sparks from the motor would concern me with 12 gallons of fuel.I've used electric chainsaw to remove the foam around the tank.
Yes for 29,000 was steal of lifetime , never seen a 2820 under 70k granted it needed tank but most mid 2000s all will so wasn’t even a big deal to me. Engines run amazing and have 1600 hours which isn’t much and had 180 compressions . I drove boat by sea 70 miles home no issuesIs that the one from Long Island tha was for sale about a month or so ago? Needed a tank and high hour motors?
Not sure, Romarine boat builders is installing the tank next week. If it last 15 years I won’t have boat anymore anyways lol . I trust boat builders and installing them, Romarine has been around forever and make good boatsAre you planning to modify the tank and installation? Reduced capacity rectangular tank could rest on G10 horizontal struts, possibly glassed in around top.
