Which is better way to mount small 3' open array radar. Directly to pilot house roof or elevate on scan strut? Your advice will be greatly appreciated. Looks good mounted directly to roof and angle is almost perfect. Began spring cleaning this past week end. I will install radar next weekend.

Looks good where it is to me. Actually the higher the better but with the radar horizon being what it is another two or three feet isnt going to make much differance operationally.

That does look good just like that, but someday when I put an open array on my boat, it will be on a 12" Scanstrut.

Installed Open Array on seaview sea strut.
Also replaced decades old Perko Door Lock.
Ready for foggy mornings in Northeast.

Cat. Kevin your right looks better on Strut!!
