FWIW, Ed's Marine Super Store in VA is selling the Suzuki 250hp or 300hp for only $13K out the door.
That's a phenomenal price! Whereas I can use my existing 2-station controls, I only need the harness, smart guage, and prop ... plus rig & test. A local dealer has quoted me $2-3K to rig the new OB if I buy it from Ed's, and then they'll warranty it. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm ...
Anyway, take a look at the impressive numbers the Suzuki OBs are putting out there. That test hull is a 24' CC of 22-degree deadrise. That 3rd test below is a single OB on a 27' wide-beam heavy hull of 21-degree deadrise, and thus might be more representative of the results we'd get with the larger Parkers of deep-V models.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm again, ... I'd bet $$ my ol' mod-V 'big girl' would fly with a 300hp on her back, huh??
