400 Hour Maintenance

Hi CP family,

Going to do my 400 hour maintenance on my Yami F200. Can somebody please tell what that all entails? I had the dealer perform the 300 hour one, and that included the water pump. I usually just let the dealer perform all of the maintenance, but it's getting so expensive! Also, do the new spark plugs out of the box require them to be gapped, or does NGK already do that? Thanks!

ALWAY's check the Spark Plugs for proper gap !

If you had a water pup 100hrs ago..... Did you get a thermostat and Pop Off valve also?

For me... It would get a oil change, filter, Grease & Foot oil change @ 400hrs... Thats it.

400 hour is just another 100 hour if all of the 300 hour items where taken care of. The 500 is more involved. The Yamaha manual spells it all out.

If you plan on doing your own maint/repairs a proper shop manual should be in your arsenal.
