I was ready to buy a 9.5 Yamaha kicker but I saw a picture of a 15 hp. and he was saying how he uses it for fishing. Can anyone tell me if the kicker can be use this way or what is the Diff. ?
If anyone has a kicker on a 2320, can you put it were the swim ladder is and still have room to get up on it. I was going to move the swim ladder and use the dive ladder spot. I have a livewell on the other side.

I'd go with the 9.9hp ... the 15hp will not push you any faster, as you are limited by physics to the hull speed of the boat itself. For a 23' boat this would approximate 6mph.

The theory goes that NO hull can go faster than the square-root of the waterline-length of the hull times the constant of 1.34. Sure, you can 'try' to push it faster but without the HP to get her on plane and ABOVE the water ... you'll be wasting $$, gas, and effort IMHO.
