Guys,

I picked up an Accurate at the fishing show in RI this weekend and fell in love. I bought a BX2-500N. It is much more reel than I need for 3-waying up stripers but it feels pretty awesome in your hands man. Up to now I have used Penn 965 and 975's but wanted something with a higher gear ratio.

I am looking for just one more, kind of a "guest" reel for when I bring people fishing, I was thinking about the Fin Nor Marquesa, roughly half the price of the Accurate. Anyone have any thoughts on that?

Thank you all for your thoughts

The nice thing about the Avets is they are made in the USA.
The smaller single speed Avets in the same price range have less max drag than the Marquesa's.
That being said, for Stripers/Rockfish/Perch the single speed Avets would be fine. :p
