Ya' know, I tell my friends ... the 'cheapest' part of boat ownership if buying it. They don't believe me ;)

Don't forget the camera!
We love photo-documented projects!

Here are the before pics. Roof where the Custom Rod Holders are going. Helm and Interior for the Garmin being mounted where the light is and Ipod interface for the CMD 5. And the Bilge where I am putting in the transducer

alright change in plan.

I had most of the electronics already installed and realized that i liked the 4212 better with the navpod since they have a precut one already made. So that is being replaced out now. Just dropped the boat off at Birdsall this morning. Going to have them incorporate the anchor light into the rod holder so that there are fewer exposed holes on the cabin roof. Also, i am having them add the outrigger mounts to brackets on the sides of the rod holders so again less holes in the roof. Should be ready by Wednesday or Thursday. I will post pictures then. hopefully all the electronics including the windlass will be taken care of by the following week.

Alright called and talked to Birdsall Today still working on it. SO im adding 4 Rod Holders in the gunnel.

sorry for no pics yet. the boat came back from birdsall and they did a great job and the rest will be done tomorrow or thursday. id start taking pictures but you would be able to see anything with all the boxes and wires everywhere

here they are...kinda will be 100 percent finished tomorrow so if any request let me know.

That is sooooo sweet!

Very interesting spotlight mount.. Keeps the light off the shiny rails. Are you thinking about putting a windlass on it? Have you thought about how that might interface/interfere with the rode?

windlass is going in today. didnt get a chance to take a picture. getting a custom aluminum sleeve because it has like 3 inches of core so we are putting resin on it and then the sleeve to protect it from the line and chain. The spotlight mount was designed with the idea of putting on a windlass so it is slightly back and should hopefully work with the anchor. how many of you use the u shaped piece on the end of your roller to hold the anchor on?

Wow! I love that rocket launcher / outrigger setup! 8)
Smokin!

I don't on mine. That loop has nothing to grab onto on my anchor, so I devised an alternative.

I use a mechanical tensioner attached to the jaw-on-jaw swivel. I then use a safety clip attached to the chain 'just-in-case'.

Here is a shot of the TH Marine tensioner.

Here is a shot of the anchor safety.
It is a stainless clip that is attached to one of the bow cleats by a piece of parachute cord.

Huh?

Exactly. Look at my photo, then look at this one.

On my anchor, there isn't anything for that loop to grab.
On the Delta, the angle of the shank allows that loop to grab it.
I don't have that, so the loop doesn't work for me.

How much is that spotlight and how do you control it? What does the remote look like? The work looks real good!

if you look to the right of my steering wheel you will see a little black control panel. ill try to take a picture of it. has an on/off button and a hi speed or lo speed setting. and then it has a round pad that allows you to shine the light up or down and swivel the unit. kinda looks like a robots eyes when you move them up and down. You can get spotlights anywhere from about 900 to 3500.
