I got new lewmar pro-fish 700 and anchor roller for delta type anchor.
I have 2120 sport cabin .
Can anyone advise on installation of anchor roller itself:

1. How far it should stick out from the end of the bow ?
2. What caulk to use.
It came without a bolts - any preference ?

ALso - lewmar windlass instruction are very clear - the only reference to non prmanent caulk adhesive is not clear - need an input on that one too.

Any help appriciated.

i have a roller on my bow (no pulpit on my classic parker). I used stainless steel lag bolts, long enough to go through the deck sole and the backing plate (i used a chunk of 1x4x4 oak i had laying around).

I recommend taking the roller with you to west marine and buying the appropriate hardware, and then buy a size up in length and a size down, and use the one that fits the best and return the others...thats what I did.

I used 5200 around the edges and under the roller to keep water intrusion to a minimum, and epoxy resined the holes so water doesnt delaminate the fiberglass.

no idea on how far it should stick out... i put mine out as far as I could and still get at the bolts from the trunk cabin anchor locker access, yet still get the swivel/pivot point to work. I don't know what anchor roller you purchased, but its probably similar to mine. Not experienced with the delta anchors, they are nearly useless on the mussel beds we striper fish on (its oversized danforths and extra chain, or its nothing at all)

The anchor coming up exerts a lot of pressure and can
damage the gel coat real easy.

truer words have not been said...i have some small spider cracks in the gel around my roller now. I ignore it, and chalk it up to "i'd rather have spider cracks than haul the anchor by hand"

Sorry for the delay - was busy at work.
I just want to say thank you for the advise.
