Just got an 1995 1800 last year and have been adding various things such as a live well, leaning post, gunnel rod holders. Last big thing on my list has been trim tabs. I got a set of Bennett 9x12s and was wondering where other people with the same boat (1800) have placed the hydraulic power unit. I'm thinking in one of the lazarettes.

thanks, John

There, or in the center console. Either place will work.

thanks guys. I think I'm gonna mount the motor inside the console to attempt to keep it out of the elements. The switch I put vertically on the console rather than flush to keep out water.

How often do you need to add fluid, it might be a pain to get to once I put it in the console.

FWIW when I refurb'd my ol' Parker ~8-years ago or more, I filled her up ... and haven't added any fluid since. Bennett tabs are de bomb!
