Greetings,
I recently purchased a new 2300t big bay. Now I am in the process of outfitting her with electronics and acessing trolling motor options. The guy doing the install for me is concerned about the recessed bow on the boat and the possiblity of bow mounting a 36 volt min kota. He thinks the recess in the bow is too great to allow for enough room to mount the motor correctly. Any suggestions or experiences in bow mounting trolling motors on the big would be greatly appreciated. By the way, I have fished the boat for 3 months and as a first time parker owner have been extremely impressed. Kind regards tk

No one's responded to you 'cause you're the first with a 23 BigBay ( The Parker of Bay Boats) 8) . Congratulations and how 'bout some pics?

Can a piece of teak or starboard be used to raise the mounting surface so it is no longer "recessed?"

Can you provide a pic of the area on which you want to mount the trolling motor. Once we see the challenge, I'll bet you'll get several possible solutions here on ClassicParker.

Please post some pics of your new Big Bay! I have not been able to see any of these in my neck of the woods.
