Why would they take it down? I am willing to bet YOU would have thought a package was ensured for its actual value before this thread. FORGET THE DOGS. It just as easily could have had a million other things happen to it IN TRANSIT. I realize this wasn't that.
It just so happens that I had just shipped the Garmin that I removed from the boat, and I wrote $3000 as a declared value when I dropped it off at UPS. BOE puts $100 worth on every package, unless you beef it up.
