Went to the Boat show here in Boston yesterday and today
Real good turn out !
Parker had a niece showing but no 34'
Had the 21 and 23SC dressed out niece with second stations on the bulkhead
And both windows open and ipod docs
And Like how the do the storage seat now with the tackle box too

LoadRite has a booth and making deals
I picked up for my 2120 a Elite series 6000LB bunk aluminum
With radials, free Spare tire, LED recessed lites, Side guides, and Quick slide bunk covers $ 4158.00
Thought that was a good price
And they are going to make a deal on my trade when they see it and set my boat up on the new trailer
Delivery at Monahan's marine in Weymouth
I'm happy

I went to the boat show this Sunday. This was my second show this year. Seeing the Parker boats in person has helped me decide which one I would like. I kept thinking about being able to trailer the boat every weekend because I felt it gave me better control over my property. I could sit on it during the workweek, tweak it in my back yard, be able to wash it down after each use and not have to paint the bottom. But the 2120 has the cut out in the transom which I hate. The 2320 has a small vberth and a curtain and only sits 2 maybe 3 in the pilot house. At least the 2520 give you four seats in the pilot house and a vberth a six foot tall guy can sit up in, and lay down in without his feet hanging over the edge. Plus the vberth has the hard door and electric pump head option. The cockpit on the 2520 blows away the space on the 2120 - I only wish they had a 2530 at the show. I have never seen one of these and it interests me. Although the more people i talk with, the more say they have never used the sink or counter space in the galley area and wished they went with more seating option instead. This means it's a 2520 xld for me. Now all I have to do is a cost breakdown including all the electronics, rigs and slip costs per year and present this data to my Wife for final approval. No 2011 model for me this year, I can only hope 2012 is my year to join the family.

Hey I was there on sunday too!
I really liked that 21 PH with the dual stations and under bench storage too Sully. That is one nice big feeling 21.
I fell in love with the Allied Boat Works skiff from Maine, 20' and built like a tank. Rated 11 persons or alot of traps. They added trim tabs and use trex for a wood look. It seems some skiff builders are coming back, great to talk with the guys that build em too.
My big purchase, outside of 2 pretzles and a coke, was a knife holder made in off white star board at Arigoni's
custom booth for $12 bucks, when I dove for the cream colored holder over the white he said "only Parker guys get excited when they see that color"
The middle market is gone,(house boats were in large display though) for 23 CC you need 78K+ for Pursuit, Hydra, Robolo, Regulartor. Grady's hope you have bubble'n black gold in the yard for one of those. That price sticker did not mean quality either in some models(spells: pull the hatches and take a good look with a flash light)
All in all, I'd buy my Parker again or maybe that saweeet 21PH.

I was looking at the Skiffs also It is like they are getting alot more popular
For the money and the niece hull design and low maintenance
If your just in the bay or inlets
Its a great choose
And I agree with the cost of all boats
Man They want a lot of money now
Although the 21-23SC all decked out were only 46 to 66 respectively
For all the extra stuff they had on them I didn't think that was too bad
Wonder if Parker will ever put a bracket and fish boxes on a 21 would be great
They could still keep it in the 21ft length just by moving the motor back
And using the motor-well and jump seat space
I guess time will tell

Linwood Parker will be there Saturday and Sunday, stop in and say Hi if you are at the show.

Hey Smittles-

I bought a 2520xl last year with a galley and marine head.
That's the only way to go.
A cook counter, sink, frig. below.
Doubles as a tackle station, It's one of the best options you can find, on the used market, and the marine head. I don't care what the other Parker owners say about their bucket, if you have a fisherman, ie. female on board or not, it's the only way to go.
Plus, you can cook, have coffee, all at sea level, not below, like most full cabin boats.
You cannot add these options afterward, the mechanics just don't fit.
Galley, marine head, only way to go.
Every other option can be added later, if you think you need too.
Including the second station, which I thought I had to have, I'd like to have it, and maybe I will, but I can still pull my lobster pots, troll for bass ( with auto pilot) , without it.

Reel Job

Interesting... I didn't know you could get that setup in a 2520. Got any pictures you could share?

Went to the show a week ago ago saturday.
Wouldn't exactly say the turn out was good, actually pretty slow if you ask me. Was nice to walk around with plenty of room.
Went to go over a few things with Navtronics guys as I'm getting ready to put a Simrad auto pilot.
