I keep my parker 2520 in a slip on the Chesapeake Bay. Every year, i have had the bottom painted. This past winter, however, I put it up on blocks near my place and did not have the bottom re-painted. Am I taking a major risk that my hull will get barnnicles/damaged? If so, should I take the boat out now and have it cleaned and painted or can it wait until i pull her out for the winter? Thanks.

What kind of paint makes a HUGE difference. Many ablatives (soft-type) can be relaunched and are still active. However most epoxy (hard type) paints become inactive once they have dried completely.

Ditto the ablatives. I use the cheap West Marine CPP+ which is not sold as a mulit-season paint. On 1st use, we put 2 coats. Then none the next year but the waterline. Then recoat the next year full, but only 1 coat. Hulls are powerwashed in the Fall as soon as they are brought up the ramp. It's been working out great for us. And it sure is a GOOD prep year when you realize you only need to do 2' of the hull all the way around ;) .
