I just sold my 23SE and purchased a 2501 , I’m considering adding a trolling motor , can anyone offer some advice on what is involved ? Shaft length, battery location , thanks in advance

87” shaft is not long enough and I’m sure the 90” garmin will not be either. I’m using the 87 currently and I have it mounted 2’ish feet back if it were on the bow it wouldn’t work at all. I had the 87 from a previous boat when I upgrade I’ll go to the 100.

I had a 60 amp lithium which also is from my previous boat and it’s also not enough. Some days it lasted 8hrs others 3-4. I just finished adding a second 50amp lithium but it was tricky so we’ll see how it works. All the batteries for my boat are in the console which sucks because that’s all I have for storage. I wouldn’t move them to the bilge because I don’t like the idea of batteries in the bilge and the boat needs more weight up front
