Just wanted to introduce myself, and tell some people who would understand, that today I purchased my first boat and it is a new 1801 Parker. I can not wait to pick her up and have some fun. I have been looking for the past two years and really fell in love with the Parker brand. At first I wanted a 2120 Pilothouse, but thought it would be too much boat for a rookie and his 5 year old son.
I did not think I was going to purchase the boat this summer, until Sunday which was my 35th birthday. My wife did a little photo shop work on the picture of the boat from the Parker catolog and put a picture of me and my son on the boat fishing. She wrote on the page "Happy 35th Boatday, picture you and your son on your own boat". I was in shock, but ready to pick her out.
I am having the boat equipped with a live well, foward casting platform with cushions, Bimini top, high bow rail, garmin gps and fish finder, and a venture aluminum trailer. I am going to pick her up in two weeks.
