Dale I have seen a few pictures of the Teak pulpit you have on the front of your Parker for your bow roller and windlass, and thought it looked good. I would like to install the same on mine. Did you use the same rode entrance, in the same location that it is when it comes from Parker? I have a 45 class Powerwinch and a URM-3 bow roller for the assembly.
What size and width and thickness is your teak pulpit? Hope you might have a picture or two for reference..Did you have to use any marine plywood underneath for support? I have all the parts except the pulpit for installation.

I did, but it might be different on your model than it was as originally configured on my ’92 model. It lies just to the left of the back end of the pulpit.

With a windlass, wouldn’t you need one right behind if not under the windlass?

It is laminated, 7 pieces, about 34” long by ~14” wide at the widest and 2” thick. I ‘saved’ the model I mocked up out of ~14” wide pine. It is the same shape as the factory pulpit and I could model it for dimensions or even send you it as a master.

Not at all! As is, the Parker deck in the area for the windlass is close to 4” thick in spots, and at least 3” for most of that foredeck area, at least on my ‘92!

Now, under the pulpit to raise it to the height of the raised rubrail, I did add a base of treated mahogany.

Questions:

Are you going to change out to a new bow rail with the pulpit “U”? If not, I don’t know if I’d do a traditional pulpit, as the look might be funny and you won’t have the support of the rail from above.
