You would look for the exact same things on a freshwater boat as for a saltwater boat, minus the salt corrosion.
The only real difference is that wood rot can be more pronounced (or susceptible) in fresh water than salt.
I had a friend with an old wooden deadrise boat who would place bags of salt in his bilge to ward off rot.
He told me that wash water, and rain water were two enemies of a wooden boat. That was why he put salt in the bilge. It was a preservative.
In a modern fiberglass boat, we don't take such drastic measures, but you do need to be aware of items that might not bedded correctly.
It's an issue you need to look out for on ANY boat because they all get washed and rained upon.
Interesting tho... In looking at you photos, it appears you have either fish boxes or storage in the transom area. My 1996 doesn't have that option.
It also appears that you either have the original drop curtains, or they were replaced at some point with nearly identical replacements.
The gold rocket launchers also look to be from a newer model boat. The factory launchers in 96 were silver, and only had room for 6 rods.
Again, not a bad thing. You got an upgrade at some point.
Have her surveyed and enjoy her!
BTW - What power are you considering?
