Has anyone successfully installed a cabin heater if so what kind etc.?

I installed a Chinese diesel air heater in my 2320
Last winter. It works well and a fraction of the price of an espar

Buddy heaters do work well but I’m not fond of how much moisture they put inside the pilothouse. I also had a gas valve malfunction on mine last deer season and almost blew the windows out of my blind. A fireball almost hit the ceiling when it did ignite. Truthfully I’m a bit scared of it now [emoji2373]

I Gotcha.

We have not had any issues since we started using it 8-9 years ago and only use it when we are fishing. Haven't experienced much moisture buildup I guess since there are not long periods where someone is not in and out. It does ride nice there too.

Odds are my experience is a rare one. They are a very convenient and portable heater.

I used machine screws and nuts, drilled at the correct height to allow the keyhole holes in the back of a Buddy heater to slide on and yet sit on the floor also. You only want to run this on low.....in 20mins it will change temps from 32deg to 70deg inside the pilothouse. The heads of the machine screws stick out from the panel, making a hook that fits in the back and not let the heater turn over. Here's the thing. It's portable.....Yea I want heat now....But later in the season it's super easy to remove from the boat and get it out of the way.

It’s kinda a pain to fill it but I plan on cutting a hole under the cushion above it and adding a access hatch

John,

I texted you the links for the parts I used. Feel free to give me a call as well. I’m far from an expert but the heater works very well and kept the cabin warm at 5 deg while I did some wiring last winter.
