unless someone knows of a better deal.

I know this is a Parker board but you really need to call Bill Judge and ask about his 24cc if you are looking at a 23se. You can currently get the Judge for probably less than the se and you will get a lifetime hull warranty, sharper entry wharped hull design, head or dry storage in the console, choice of power (primarily a honda dealer) and customizations as you can deal factory direct and they are semi custom boats. I think the Parkers are finished a little nicer and a more recognizable name when you go to resell but at the prices that Judge was talking with me during this slow period, you will do well because they normally sell for more than a Parker.

Well, since this is a Parker forum, I'll take the other side just for giggles. I have never seen but 1 Judge. It was at the Raleigh Convention Center Boat Show (a major show) a few years ago. The dealer told me he had it there to judge (no pun intended :D ) response. Bottom line, he decided not to carry the line.

From the website, here's a few (admittedly biased) observations:

Deck cap does not wrap stern corners, even the 18 Parker is finished out to motor notch.
No level floor, step up in bow.
Basic console, no electronics cabinet, compare windshield grab rail to Parker.
No bow rail.
No live well.
70 gallon fuel capacity ?
No drip edge on deck cap.
No custom T-Top or leaning post, common Smith stock inventory.
Judge site brags of no wood, light weight const. Parker specs heavy lay-up, box grid with heavy, strong stringers.
No Carolina Flare.
AND worst of all, less deadrise than the 18 Parker...12 degrees.

I have heard Judge gets about $50,000 otd for BMT. If this is so, it is square in the range of a 23CCDV Parker. At $40,000 looks like it competes (price wise only) with a 23SE. Only missing all of the above features  .

The Judge has a following on Cheaspeake. I can only assume the Chesapeake is a unique body of water where a boat like Judge can really shine.

I was quoted about the cost of the loaded 21se currently for a 24 Judge with a head in console, level deck to the bow, and a 225 Honda. Leaves lots of room for the bow rail and custom t-top

The 38k for the 21 se I was quoted was from a dealer near my home, did not include a t-top, trailer, or bimini. It just included the hull, console, engine, rigging, leaningpost with rocket launcher over livewell, but I think it might have included bottom paint.

In NJ this is the most expensive Parker Dealer, and its location is pretty swanky and high end too. Not saying they are not nice people, but the typical person buying a boat from them does not care whether they pay $33,000 or $40,000.

Seems my decision will be made for me by the market for my 2005 2520sl. I thought I listed it it early enough to get it sold by summer's end. but maybe I hadn't.

Sal - What Happened - Thought you sold her?...

Soft market right now and that is coming from the boys at bertam, contender, grady...oh and of course the girls at Sea Ray!!! My marina looks deserted right now. High fuel, way hot and fewer boaters all around. You have a good price IMO!!
