Bluewater Edition???
Marathon Boat House...
That's what gave me the idea

The Florida dealer adds the options that are popular in that particular area, then brands it for his dealership as a marketing tool.
The west coast boats probably have the most obvious regional options with the high bow rails, double-size rocket launchers, rooftop towers, huge baitwells, and such.
The northeast boats work both inshore, nearshore and then offshore fishing for tuna...
Unfortunately, we don't have access to tuna in the Chesapeake.
The Chesapeake Edition typically consists of a modified vee setup for light tackle jigging (LTJ) for schoolie rock, perch, croaker, and the occasional trayt.
In the spring and fall the tarket is migrating rockfish taken on the troll. In the summer, bottom fishing is popular, and some folks chum while chunking cut bait.
Live bait is rarely used so you don't see many livewells here, and coolers take the place of a built-in fishbox. People here use fishboxes for storage.
In conversations with my local dealer, 98% of the boats they sell are MV's with single motors. The free-standing cockpit driving station is dealer ordered on every boat because it's the one option everyone orders anyway. Bigger tabs are catching on as an owner installed option to deal with our short, steep chop.
The dealer and the factory may catch-up eventually, but dealer sold boats all wear the standard 12x12 tabs.
Wishbone outriggers are popular with the trolling crowd, though many people use planer boards as they can be home-built rather inexpensively.
Multiple rod holders in the washboards are typical as is the provision for a way-way-back (WWB) line.
I would guess that even though the species of fish are different, boating conditions in the Chessie are pretty much the same as the sounds in the Carolinas. That could be the reason why Parkers are so popular here in the Chesapeake.
So, you may ask... why the graphic?
I'm just making my Parker my own. No different than what most of us are doing here on
ClassicParker.
