Boat is 1 1/2 years old. Kept out of the water & washed almost weekly. The folding ladder attached to under the bracket is corroding the bracket. Concerned as this obviously will only get worse. It separated by plastic washers but is still happening. How do I prevent this ?

I’d start by installing larger, thicker washers. Unfortunately now that the coating is compromised, it will likely continue to break down. But bigger washers should slow it down.

Contact bracket and ladder makers. Maybe Parker corporate might reply. I believe the Parker dealer should be available . GW has better customer forum and support. Classic Parker is the best.

Nylon washers are available

It's the disimmular metals and them not being insulated from one another.

I went to Great lengths to isolate mine when I installed it. Including a nylon tube between the alum and stainless fastener.
