Hello all. New Parker owner. Last fall I purchased a 2003 2520xl. This forum is full of great info.

I am looking to do something with the cabin floor as I am tired of falling with bare feet. Can you offer any option that you have used and an estimate of what it has cost you.

Thanks in advance.

Jeff

Outdoor carpet mat with rubber backing.

Cut to fit, throw it out at the end of the season.

Cheap.

Another topic discussed ad nauseam, try a search for answers with pics.

Thanks for the replies. Anyone with a 2520xl who has insight on how many squares to order?

Any color recommendations?

I second the outdoor carpet, Costs me less then 10$ a year roll it up get rid of it at the end of the season.

. . . . . .after the wife took a bad slip I used a couple big beach towels .. . . .works in a pinch.

. . . .. .....picked up a roll of outdoor carpet for this year. Like the guys said. . . ..it's an easy and cheap way to go. I personally do not like the Dri Deck on bare feet. ....

Dri Deck = blowboater cockpit. 8)

Break out the bloodys and mimosas.

Not that there's anthing wrong with that.

I bought a piece of indoor/outdoor carpet at Home Depot a couple of years ago.
Made a cardboard template, then cut out the carpet.
Attached it to the floor with industrial strength velcro so it can be removed and cleaned every year.

I used old beach towels for the longest time, but the carpet has been great.

yes I spray it down with the hose but usually pull into the cockpit.
The Dri DEck is in the cabin and not in the cockpit.

in the flip side of carpet.
I am a medical microbiologist and dont care for outdoor carpet unless it is kept dry which is difficult to do on the boat. Carpet is breeding ground for bacteria, fungi, mold and viruses.
but I see infections every day. If I had it I would be bleaching with hot soapy water on a regular basis

I like the seadek too
have had it in the boat for about 7 years
No fade or tearing
I like the cushin on the deck when I drop my Scuba tanks or weights
Also keeps the fish from sliding as much
And hoses right of clean
Its more then some other stuff but Ill be able to put this in as many boats as I want
Buy more of it if its a bigger boat so far no fade for 7 years I have a few pieces in the shed I compare too
Its in the pilot house and cock pit
