I agree.

You end up hitting the motor and the swim platform, double cleaning in my eyes.

Not offshore. You'll get a wave or two rolling up on the swim platform will clean it.

If it was on the Washboard, it would be right in the way of one guy fishing and everyone else getting in his way to cut or grab bait.

The one I have I also want it to support the grill when we are on the beach.

Correct Wart, but wasn't going to argue (everyone has there own preferences), anything that does drip on the bracket gets washed off with one wave. I use that rod holder for my grill too works out perfect, because then you can use the stern of the boat as a table for all the food etc.....

I dont take my boat off shore, for chunking in the LI sound, I think it's best for it to be on the side and it never gets in my way of fishing. Hitting the motor with saltwater spray down when you can avoid it is best. Also you have to remove it when you out fish in the box too.

For me I think its best fitted on the side of the boat for my fishing needs.

Just an FYI LI Sound is usually rougher than offshore.

My Bracket washes great. 8)

Besides I use my fish box and need quick access for storing fish and beverages/food. I was just pointing out some of the cons and people get all pissy.

Thanks for turning this forum into the other sites. It seems that the integerty of the site has been compromise.

I'll move on to the next topic.
