Building had people in it but all made it out due to us here(FDNY) and there quick thinking on getting out and not tring to put it out themselves and calling 911 for a quick response!!!

Hopefully the truck co. make off the roof o.k. Looks like the truckies had a little work there.

Great photos , is that what you had when the first co's arrived? Did it progress to the second? Were you on the truck or engine ????

As a law enforcement officer we have a saying with the FD "they haven't lost a foundation yet"

The FD has a saying also, all police officers have one thing in common, they all want to be firemen.

This winter in Indianapolis there were several fires where the fire hydrants were frozen and the fire department did all they could to obtain a constant water supply at the one fire, the police were helping pulling the fire hoses to another hydrant 2 blocks away which sadly was frozen, too. The picture was the disappointed faces of personnel from both depts

Ha.... Im not afraid to say i would take the job, my brother is a fireman and his schedule 24 hours on 72 off....That is key

Probably not for the residents of that house!!!!

Nor the insurance company...nor the owner...nor...

I don't want to bust your chops here...but tragedy is never good.

I guess the only way it relates is that we are all parker owners and we are doing a little bonding, no offence intended. We firemen love our police officers. During the LA riots most fire companys had a PD escort because we were being shot at, we appriciate the PD every day. Dave, most firemen would refer to Keiths fire the other night as good fire, this is where the misunderstanding lies. Good, meaning that it was challenging and we manged to save life and property. I'm sure Keith is satisfied knowing that things would have been much worse if he and his brothers were not there. And that is why we love our Parkers so much, because after a nite like that we can look forward spending some time on our boats with friends and family enjoying a cold one. So does it relate?

That fire was on arrival like that the people of the building tried to put it out themselves and you know how that goes. You could smell the smoke in the air leaving quaters!!!That smell is something that tells you that your going to work as soon as you get there!!! I am a truck guy and love jobs like that!! I dont understand why people dont call 911 rite away, small fire and look what happened here out of apartment up stairwell and then its all lite up!!!

Gotta love pulling up on that.... makes the trucks search for the fire that much easier..lol I had one on saturday in a basement with no windows... what a pain to find that.... stay safe out there Keith

Oh yea those are the best when your driving down from fire house and you smell it in the air and when you get there its like ohhh yea!!here we go!!!Turn that corner and see the flames ripping out the windows.Get the new probie guy that is like oh **** this is for real ,now he starts sweating before he gets off rig, tell him lets go brother and stay rite by me you will be ok we are coming out of this no matter what keep head on your shoulders nothing to worry about. Then he calms down and does what he is supposed to do,after all said and done pat him on his back and tell he he did a great job,and after our tour lets hit the bar for a drink or 6.Then make sure you dont tell your wife or girlfriend how bad it was cause they will worry to much everytime you go to work or make you quit!!!OLD SAYING "WHAT HAPPENS IN FIREHOUSE STAYS IN FIREHOUSE"

I'd say it relates to Parkers because he must use his more than mine and yours since he has 24 on and 72 off. Oh and it also relates in making sure our fireextinguishers are charged and ready.
