Deck hatch for 2001 2520

In the process of having the fuel tank replaced on my 2001 2520. While everything is torn apart I would like to replace the main hatch in front of the outboard. Has anyone replaced this with something more sturdy then the factory hatch. Thanks

Im replacing my deck and I really like the Bomar aluminum hatches. But they are pricy!!

I found a brand on Amazon that I used in a Mako restoration project- AMARINE. I was impressed with the fit/finish. Latches and seal were watertight. Reasonably priced too!

I installed the Bomar aluminum hatch shown above last year and I know a few other friends on here have as well. I wish I did it years ago but it is a bit pricey.
