I just bought a 7" Makita polisher yesterday. After I apply Rejex, what speed should I be buffing her out with? It goes as high as 3000 rpm.
TIA

I would start off slower than faster, especially if your not comfortable with buffer yet or using a buffer in general because the last thing you want to do is burn the gel coat thats a big no no. See what speed you have the best control over the buffer and start there, I would say in the ball park of 1200-1500 just to be on the safe side and you can gauge it from there. Good luck and let me know how it goes!

great post man! definately going to look into using a few of these tips in cleaning her up this spring. you said to use a HP nozzle for the pressure washer? That doesnt harm the gel coat in any way?

I beleive the high pressure nozzle he is talking about is for a

garden hose hook up. Not the nasty one on a pressure washer.

Yea the nozzle was in reference to the garden hose not the power washer, it helps a lot if you dont have a power washer. Also as with anything else you have to be careful with the power washer as not to use one with an extremely high PSI so you dont ruin the gel coat.
