Does anyone have the dimensions of these boats when sitting on a trailer. If someone with these models could take some measurements I would be grateful.

I would like to know the overall dimensions from the front of the trailer draw bar to the end of the outboard motor. The height from the ground to the highest point at the top of the pilot house (not including radar, rails etc) and finally the maximum width, I assume this would be the beam as these boats appear from all the photos I have seen to be wider than the trailers they are sitting on.

I am trying to work out the cubic volume occupied by a boat on a trailer. Thanks for any advice.

I'll try and get out this morning when the sun comes up and measure.

I assume you are thinking about transporting a boat to Australia.

Here is a thought. You could easily save a foot (or more) in length by having the boat set up forward on the trailer. This would of course increase the tongue weight, but once you got it home it wouldn't be much trouble to change the set up for the proper balance on the trailer.

Yes you are correct. I am doing the sums ($$$) of transporting to Australia.
These boats do not fit in a container so you are left with flatrack or RORO.

From what I have been able to work out out so far RORO is the best option hence the question about the cubic measurements.

For my 2004 2520 XL on a trailer the height, not counting rails and rocket launchers, 121 inches from the top of roof to the ground.

Total length from the tip of the trailer to the back of the engine (when the engine is in the center position) 424 inches.

I have moved the boat back about 3 inches from where it was originally. I think if I had to I could move it foward about a foot.

The beam is listed as 9'6".

Hope this helps.
Richard

Thanks for that Richard.
The measurements give me something to work with. If I was able to do as you suggest and move the boat forward, could I get more than a foot without having the nose of the boat extending past the very front of the trailer. I realize that some boats have windlass extensions and some don't so this may be a limiting factor.
Thanks again,..... Craig

I've gone back out and looked and measured.

For all practical purposes there is only about a foot forward movement possible with the stock bowstop on my Roadking.

However, by modifying the trailer tongue, i.e. removing the brake mechanism you could gain another 9 to 12 inch reduction that would then bring the tip of the bowsprit in line with the forward portion of the trailer.

Just a thought.... when you do your cost analysis.... consider the cost of having the engine removed and crated and put inside the boat. That saves 2 feet!!!!

Some trailers can be fitted with a removable or pivoting tongue for storage purposes. I have seen it for smaller boat trailers. I don't know if it is practical or safe for a large trailer and a heavy boat. I looked into that years ago when I had a 17' boat and the trailer extended about 6" beyond my garage door.

Thanks for your help guy's. :D Can I assume a 2320 (on a trailer) will be 24 inches, 600mm less than the overall length of the 2520 Richard has supplied dimensions for, :?:
I am going to assume the height will be the same for both versions and the width to be the beam for each type.
Another dimension that would be good to know is what is the common trailer width (distance between outside faces of the tyres) for each model?
We have a maximum allowable trailer width of 2,5 meters ( 98.4 inches) that can be registered here.
