Does anyone know the weight of a 2000 model Pilothouse 25?

I'm hoping someone knows the weight of a 2000 model 25 Parker Pilothouse DeepVee with a Volvo Penta Duo Prop? I have not been able to get an actual weight other than guessing around 5500lbs. Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Just be aware that will be a "dry" weight and may not include items like battereis et al. If you are concerned about towing weight, you also need to add in the weight of the trailer itself, as well as everything on board the boat.

Take a look at this post here ... I once weighed everything on my rig anfd while the hull alone was listed @ 3,500 pounds or so IIRC, by the time she hits the water LESS crew, she weighs in at 6,000 pounds and when towed is minimum 7,500 pounds :shock: !

Each boat will weigh more or less depending on how it is rigged.
Remember to add for fuel, oil, batteries, and include the motor(s), and the trailer for a true towing (wet) weight.

My boat weighs a bit more than the average 2520 MVSC because she has three fuel tanks... though I don't use the two wing tanks anymore, they still add weight.
When I first bought her I filled all 3 tanks and discovered that 221 gallons of fuel was just too much weight to haul around! :shock:
My poor 225 OX66 struggled a bit to get on plane.

Add in fishing gear, safety gear, a cooler, and all the other 'stuff' we carry, and it adds up quickly... especially if you are trailering.
When I bought my boat from the original owner, it was sitting on a 10,000 pound dual axle trailer. Now I know why.

Yes... he ran offshore out of Indian River Inlet (DE) to the tuna spots offshore and needed the range.

I fish the Chesapeake Bay and don't need that kind of range. 127 gallons in the main tank is plenty for me.
Lots of folks around here that would love to sell you gas, and none of them are all that far away. :wink:

Thanks folks, I called the factory and they told me it was just over 6k dry with the Volvo Duo Prop and they tested one out at 6900lbs. I put the boat on a lift and had some concerns on the weight and lift capacity. Thanks for all of your help, Steve
