Speckled trout fishing took off early for us this year where I fish for them, Elizabeth River/ Inner Coastal Waterweay area. It strarted for me end of November with several trips catching 50 plus fish up to 26 inches. I fish minnows under a bobber. George Poverome ended up right beside me one day when he was down shooting a speck show that will air later. I think the show will be of footage shot 2 days before that day they were trolling the river. It has slowed down but still incredible fishing, it will go on through February.

Striper season started for me eeling at night at the High Rise of the CBBT on November the 26th. One bite that night 1:15 AM the 27th resulted in a 46 inch that was 39 pounds. Then next 4 trips a single fish each trip fish 38-44 inches. This past Wednesday 12-19-12 I had a friend from NC Anthony Ng that takes me grouper fish out of Morehead City come up and fish with me. We caught 5 fish to 25 pounds. My day time fishing has been drifting eels near Cape Charles/Plantation Light area.
