What kind of numbers should I expect to see? It's. Deep v design, engine on bracket. Plane speed, wot? I'm worried that with the boat loaded for offshore with ice, gear, fuel, and 4-6 people... She won't make it to the shark/tuna grounds off Long Island in the same day. Thanks for the help!

Depends on the distance, and the winds and the seas. I don't like fishing with more than 4 people on my 2320. Just not enough room for four people to comfortably fish, and I'd rather have three, IMO.

I have a 2000 2310 225 2stroke I would not want any less power I only fish 4

Not the same but I just repowered my 2000 21se from a yamaha f225 (V6) to the new f200 in line (4) and I get same speed and better gas milage. Its also 100lbs lighter. The prop chatter was horrible unless you get the correct SDS prop or mercury equivalent

Thanks guys for the replies. It seems it's borderline. Plus with the additional weight of the 4s(500lbs) way back on a bracket, it might even make it harder to plane the deep v. I know I should have went with the 225. Oh well, I'll have to wait for a modified v 23 Parker to come up for sale that needs repowering. Thanks again. Spring is here!

Put a 4 blade prop and she will be fine.

I hear those new in line 200 Yamaha don't have any torque to move anything heavy. A few guys I have spoken to regret not going larger.

I do not think there is a mod v 23' parker. I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure all 2310 and 2320 are deep v but more knowledgeable owners will chime in if I'm wrong. As for the 200, well it's not the most ideal motor for that boat but it can work as long as you don't plan on racing  I have a 2320 with a 200 2 stroke. I'm not going to lie I wish I had atleast 250 but I dont, so I have to make it work. First thing is get the motor adjusted to the right height. Second, trim tabs are your friend. The most important thing that I found out however is to never fill your tank up. My boat runs fine with no more than 100 gal of fuel. When I first got the boat I filled it with 150 gal and it was almost dangerous. When I finally got it down to about 2/3 full it was like a new boat. I can cruise at about 26 mph and max at about 35. I do have a 4 blade prop which helps and I also have a 8hp kicker which added to my 2stroke probable weighs the same as a 4 stroke 200 so I wouldn't quit on it. Not ideal or what I want but it doesn't effect the type of fishing I do so I live with it. Hope this helps, good luck.

In 2005 all 23 ft are deep V. I have a 2320 with a 250 Zuk. 35 to 38. WOT. I did the same with my 200 HDPI. With the deep V, they don't run past that speed.
