Hi all. I am trying to find a copy of the owners manual for my motor and am having no luck. I went to Evinrude's site but the list of available manuals only goes through 2004 and mine is a 2003.

It's a 2003 Evinrude Bombadier 225HP.

I've tried to google it and have found places I can DL from but they charge you. I hate knowing I can get a 2004 and newer for free on Evinrude's site but because mine is a year older, I now have to pay $25+.

Does anyone know of a place to find this information or does anyone have a copy they'd be willing to copy and scan/email or mail (I will certainly cover your expense)?

Thanks in advance.

Do you know that the two years for that model are different?

I know nothing about the motor other than what I've seen with my own two eyes. I have no idea how it's built in comparison to other years and I am not familiar enough with it to assume (based on appearances) that they are "close enough" to provide me with what I need.

If someone here knows that they are in fact the same - that would be great. For this post, I am assuming there are differences.

If anything, save your $$ (if you do have to buy one) and buy the OEM Factory Service Manual.

Before you do that, give Fairwinds Marina a call. They may have a used factory manual for that motor.
These folks routinely rebuild (and offer for sale) Evinrude and Johnson motors from the 60's to the present.
You should see their stock of rebuilt motors!

It's worth a shot!
