This a good price??
Nice boat but you’ve got 2 potential issues with a boat of that age that can have a huge impact on the price.
The boat is nearly 20 years old and while that doesn’t mean that the fuel tank needs replacing, it’s definitely in the age range where that isn’t uncommon. Parker uses round pry out inspection ports in the deck which allows access to the sending unit, fill and vent line connections etc. Unfortunately those ports tend to leak quite badly and that results in the foamed in fuel tank sitting in brackish water corroding. This doesn’t mean the particular boat you’re looking at automatically needs a fuel tank but if it’s original tank and those inspection ports haven’t been meticulous monitored for leaking, don’t be surprised if it does need a tank replacement in the near future.
You might ask the seller to hose down the deck, wipe off the pry out plates and then remove the inspection ports covers. If the fuel tank is wet, you’ve got a clue as to what’s been happening for years.
If the engines are 2006 Yamaha 250s vintage, that puts them as being prime candidates for midsection exhaust corrosion. The 250s faired a little better then the 225s in terms of corrosion but they weren’t exempt from mid section exhaust corrosion either.
Do yourself a favor and google “Yamaha Midsection Exhaust Corrosion” . There will be a LOT of information on the subject.
Not saying the 2820 you’re looking at hasn’t had these issues already addressed but if you’re new to the used Parker market and are looking at 20 year old vintage boats definitely a couple of issues to become familiar with before you determine what you’re willing to pay for the boat or what you can afford to fix on a used boat you recently purchased.
I realize I didn’t answer your question but it’s really impossible to put an accurate value on a 20 year old Parker with 2006 model year engines without researching what’s going on with the both of those items.
You pay $60K for the boat and end up needing a fuel tank replacement and a repower, you’re looking at spending another $60K+ for engines and a fuel tank.
I have owned the same Parker 2520 since 2006. I repowered in 2019 and replaced the fuel tank in 2020.
