Thought I would put up a post here to see what temperature other F150's are runnning. Here is my story. 2008 Parker 2530 w/ F150's and Furuno NavNet3D (MFD8), Maretron 003 Command Link to NMEA 2000 cable. Just so you know how I'm getting engine temps.

When running at 3800 rpm or higher I'm at 4/5 on the Command Link temp gauge and 106/110 C for port/starb motors (that's 223/230 F). I've called Yamaha and a couple dealers and the bottom line seems to be that the temp sensors in the motor (there are two) are not actually in the cooling water path. The sensor that provides temp data is set to alarm at 266 F and the 5-level Command Link gauge on 4/5 indicates a temp between 194 and 248 F.

Sorry for all the details but I would like to know what step your F150 runs at on the Command Link gauge (1/5, 2/5, 3/5, 4/5, 5/5). For those of you with F150 four strokes w/ Command Link gauges please respond.

Wow I thought those were huge fluke at first in your pic!

We will take the boat for a ride in the next week or so and let you know about temp

Thanks for the response and I'll look forward to your results. The avatar is CA halibut. One of those once in a lifetime days.

Not a 150 but my 225 port motor would run 3/5 if crusing around 4500 RPM on a 4.5 hour run back from the bahamas and the starboard would be up to the 4/5. I dropped the lower unit check the housing and hoses to make sure nothing was pinched and as soon as I dropped RPM back down the starboard would go right back to 3/5. So after that I decided not to worry about it. These motors are pretty good about having alarms go off if theres any problem.

I put about 10 hours on the boat this past weekend running over to Catalina for an over night trip. Anytime I'm running for more than a few minutes at or above 3900 rpm the temps will run at 4/5. I did get the readout switched over to *F and at a 4200 rpm long cruise the motors were running 204/210 *F for Port/Starboard. Looks like these motors just like to run at 4/5 on the gauge.
