Today I was feeling motivated by the 60 degree weather and got the motor oil changed as well as the water pump and lower end oil.

The lower end oil had a green color... I don't think it was green when it went in... so I'm assuming some amount of water has intruded.

Does anyone have experience changeing the prop shaft seal? I'm thinking about doing it myself if I get the encouragement. Are there special tools? Can I buy them easily?

Thanks for the help.

water would cause a milky color. Are you sure its not just oil color?

The last time it was changed was at the shop... so I didn't see the oil that went in. Are there some greenish looking products?

In the past I've used the Merc brand and it was green. I also believe that if there is water present it will have a milky foam in th oil.
