After registering on this site in December 2007 and living vicariously through you, I've finally become a Parker owner (and first time boat owner). I brought my 2005 1801 home today.
The two-owner 1801 was bought locally and kept local. The boat was serviced by the local Parker dealer. 162 hours on the motor. Compression test returned healthy. The boat was optioned from Parker with the forward platform deck, livewell/seat, insulated cooler, high-style bow rail, a Lowrance 335c, ICOM vhf radio, dual bank batteries, and a Bimini top with matching full boat cover and console cover. And I got the trailer.
I purchased all of the required USCG safety gear yesterday and I'm scheduled to take the USCG Auxiliary Boating Safety course next month.
The hull in general is in great shape but does need some attention. There's some light oxidation to be dealt with. Otherwise normal cleaning on the inside.
This will be a family boat and a fishing boat.
I appreciate the wealth of knowledge in the forum and I'll be using alot of the advice posted. I realize everyone here knows what an 1801 looks like but the post wouldn't be complete without this...
