Anyone know if there's a substance that removes floatation foam residue from the inside of the hull?

Acetone doesn't do it,at least not very well.

I'm thinking of wire brushing it.

I just want everything nice and clean before I start to reassemble the boat.

There is your answer....There are no chemicals that will remove it.....and not hurt something else.

But I have to ask.....where is it located? If it's hidden / covered up....don't worry about it.

When doing a fuel tank install.....It is imperative that the deck have plastic visqueen taped down....Get it on the deck.....It's not coming up.....It's the same with getting it on your body.

Most of it im not worried about but there is a central compartment that im not planning to re-foam and wanted to clean it up.

I may use the compartment for trolling motor batteries or storage with a deck plate.

I have also found that just a scour pad is the most effective so far, probably just stick with that.

Thanks for the replies
