Hey,

I think we're going to pick up a Northstar F210 flow meter, it's on sale here for under $100. It appears to be a clone of the Navman 2100.

I know on some EFI engines you need a special meter that also measures fuel returned to the tank. I don't think this is required on the F225 but can anyome confirm?

Also, the documentation for the F210 meter says it comes with a 15 foot cable. Will this reach from the flow transducer to the dash on a 2520SL?

Thanks!

A 15' cable might be cutting is close, but if that's the same length that comes with the Navman, you will be OK. I have the Navman on my 2520 and it just makes it.

For the EFI outboards, there are no return lines. No problem with the install.

I also have the Navman 2100 on my 2520 MVSC.

Navman cautions in their installation instructions to mount the fuel transducer in a vertical position.
I accomplished that task by using zip-ties and zip-tie mounts. Put a little dab of marine silicone on the back of the mount, and wait 24 hours before tying everything together.

I installed the Navman earlier this year and it works great. I spoke with their technical guy and the fuel transducer may be mounted at 45% and woun't "pocket bubbles". For my installation that angle provided minimum bends in the fuel hose.
