I keep my 1801 on an aluminum Road King bunk-trailer. I use several ramps here in the lower Chesapeake and in the Outer Banks all of which have different angles of approach. I generally take the trailer back until the wheel wells are covered by an inch of water. At some of the ramps with shallow approaches, while powering on, the boat will wiggle until she rests on the cypress bunks. I am considering installing forward bunks to replace the PVC "Y-cradle" up forward. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Forward (keel) bunks are always a good idea. 8)
They protect the keel, as well as aiding in centering the boat when loading.

Thanks for the input. I'm thinking distribution of weight will be an asset as well. I will have to do some research as the trailer I have only has a single FWD cross-member. I may have to add another and go from there.
