It might have happenned to some of you in the past and if so please tell me what I should do.

On my parker the Fuel gage is showing that my thank is empty or sometime a quarter full when in reality I know it's at least 3/4 full and the actual gage on the thank also show 3/4.

So what could be the problem :?:

I have always found the fuel gauge to be the least reliable function on a boat and hardly look at mine.

Check and clean connections to the sending unit.

The green bonding wire from the sender is attached to one of the batteries, and a black wire is attached to the aft ground buss bar in the battery/bilge compartment on my 2520. Make sure that the ground connecters are clean and tight, with no green crud. The signal wire from the sender to the gauge should be pink.

Hope this helps

Had a similar problem on my 2120. When checking it out, I found my bilge pump was also not working. Fuel sender and bilge pump both connected to the ground bus mounted on the transom. Traced the problem to a bad ground connection in the wire connector going to the neg battery terminal that linked the bus bar to the battery.
